Danniella Bell Remedial Massage – Terms & Conditions Last Updated - 05/04/2026 By booking an appointment with Danniella Bell Remedial Massage, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
All massage treatments provided are for therapeutic and relaxation purposes only. Our massage therapists do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or provide medical treatment. Our services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider. If you have any health concerns, you are advised to consult your GP or relevant healthcare professional prior to booking.
2. Professional Conduct
All treatments are conducted in a professional, respectful, and strictly non-sexual manner. Any inappropriate behaviour, language, or conduct by a client will result in immediate termination of the session, and the full treatment fee will apply. Future bookings may also be declined.
3. Client Responsibility & Disclosure
Clients must disclose all relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or health concerns prior to treatment. By attending your appointment, you confirm that: The information you provide is accurate and complete. You understand the nature of the treatment being provided. You consent to receiving massage therapy. Danniella Bell Remedial Massage is not liable for any injury, loss, or adverse reaction resulting from undisclosed conditions.
4. Consent to Treatment
You may withdraw consent and request to stop the treatment at any time. Therapists also reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where they believe it is unsafe, inappropriate, or outside their scope of practice. If a session is discontinued, the full session fee may still apply.
5. Bookings & Payments
The treatment you book is the treatment you will receive. Any changes to your booking (including treatment type) must be made prior to your appointment and any price differences paid accordingly. Payment may be required at the time of booking or prior to your appointment. Prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations within 24 hours: 50% of service fee applies. Same-day cancellations or no-shows: 100% of service fee applies. If you provide more than 24 hours’ notice: Prepaid bookings will be converted into a customer credit valid for 3 months. No refunds are provided due to third-party booking system fees. 7. Late Arrivals
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to complete your client intake and consent form. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session to avoid impacting other clients. The full session fee will still apply.
8. Refund Policy (Consumer Guarantees Act 1993)
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a remedy under New Zealand law. However: Change of mind does not qualify for a refund. Prepaid bookings are non-refundable but may be credited if cancellation terms are met.
9. Privacy & Confidentiality
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
All client information is kept confidential and used only for treatment and business purposes. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law. You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information.
10. Health & Safety
We reserve the right to refuse treatment if: You are unwell or showing symptoms of infectious illness, Treatment may pose a risk to your health or the therapist’s safety. We maintain hygiene and safety standards in line with New Zealand health guidelines.
11. Gift Vouchers & Credits
Gift vouchers and account credits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless required by law. All credits and vouchers are valid for 6 months unless otherwise stated. Expired credits will not be extended, unless discussed with Danniella.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law: Danniella Bell Remedial Massage is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Clients accept responsibility for their own health and wellbeing during and after treatment.
Changes to Terms We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will be available upon request or via our booking system.
